2004年発売の前作「ラヴェンダー・エディション」同様、石原洋プロデュース、中村宗一郎エンジニアという布陣で制作された今作は、彼女の内包する音楽的ポテンシャルが驚くほどの完成度を持って表出された、最高傑作と言っても過言ではない内容です。

栗原ミチオ(White Heaven, The Stars他)、坂田律子(pagtas)、坂本慎太郎(ゆらゆら帝国)などのサポート陣を得て、メランコリーの谷間に漂う緊張感と静寂のアマルガムは彼女の言う「聴きこむことも、聴き流すこともできるアルバム」というコンセプトを｣見事に実証しています。

This is the follow up to 2004's "Lavender Edition". As suggested by her two contributions to Michio Kurihara's "Sunset Notes" and the track on the Wata / Ai Aso split, this record is much lighter in mood than her previous releases. It is every bit as sparse, controlled, shimmering and beautiful though. Kurihara plays a lot on this record and contributes to this slight change in atmosphere. The record ends with an exceptional and original adaption of "And, ...I Want" from the Boris / Kurihara collaboration "Rainbow".

Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom. In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker
